Just wanted to share a Merry Christmas message from our family! We hope you have a wonderful day celebrating the birth of the Savior and enjoying family and friends.

When we went to the temple on Monday night to see the Christmas lights, Lindsay was getting cold watching the concert in the rain and asked when we were going to go and see the "Creativity." She meant the nativity. (How cute is that!?) As we had a quiet moment observing the humble stable display representing the birth of the Savior, Lindsay looked intently trying to find Joshua, from the story above. It is one of our favorites. Joshua the Lamb is crippled, so the other animals leave him behind in the stable. His tears of loneliness turn to joy, however, when he realizes that because of his difference, he gets to be right there when Jesus is born.

We think we found him, tucked back in a corner, with black spots on his woolly coat.

Lindsay and Caroline adore this book; we all do. My hope is that through the business of this time of year, we can stop to pause and remember the reason we celebrate and that we can recognize our differences not as weaknesses but as strengths and the different ways we can uplift and serve one another.
