School comes to a close...and summer begins!

Caroline ended her first year of preschool with a darling program - she practiced her line over and over (still needed some help) but she was so cute! We will miss Mrs. Packer greatly - she is probably moving and so we will not be making the move with her...it will be too far away. Afterwards, Daddy and I took her out to lunch to her usual choice - to Chick-fil-A!

So, Caroline will begin the "Kindersteps" pre-k program our shcool district offers for 4th qtr birthdays that are not old enough for Kindergarten but turn 5 before the end of the year. She was so excited to tour the classroom and when she realized she would get to bring her Tinkerbell backpack, she was sold!

Our girls are so lucky to have a dad who makes it a priority to take time off work to attend their special programs at school. Lindsay received the "Future Teacher" award at her class end of the year program. Is it wrong to say I felt my heart swell with pride when her teacher described all the ways Lindsay shines and excels? We were truly pleased to see all she accomplished throughout this school year. Of course, daddy and I "kidnapped her" from school and let her choose a lunch spot as well...she chose Subway.
On the last day of school, Caroline, Kate and I surprised Lindsay by showing up to have lunch with her. It was quite fun day - it was a free dress day/fund raiser for several teachers who will participate in the Breast Cancer 3-Day and must raise a certain amount of $$ to participate so, if the kids wanted to wear pink, they made a contribution to the cause. It is always fun to drop by the school and hang out...

After school, we surprised Lindsay yet again by having our swim bag all packed up and we went to the gym to swim. We have a great time at that pool - the kids love the zero-depth play area and the water-park style slides as well. Kate didn't get in the water yet but sure was quite the bathing beauty!

With the end of school, summer officially starts - and we cannot wait for all the adventures summer break will bring!

(Man, this is formatting weird...and I am done fighting it.)
